On the 20th of November, an article I wrote was published by Mongabay.com. It was an article on gold mining and the use of mercury in the southeastern Peruvian Amazon, where I have lived and worked for nearly five years now. As a matter close to my heart, I am pleased to report that the article won the second place in the top contributor category for the year 2013.
